Lead and assist chemists and engineers in conducting experiments, analyzing substances, and ensuring safety in chemical processes. Specifically relating to Metals with experience in metal industry.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct Laboratory Tests: Perform qualitative and quantitative analyses of solids, liquids, and gases to assist in research and development.
Prepare Chemical Solutions: Create solutions following standardized formulas or experimental designs.
Monitor Quality Control: Ensure that products meet safety and quality standards by conducting regular tests and inspections.
Maintain Laboratory Equipment: Clean, sterilize, and maintain laboratory instruments to ensure proper functioning and safety.
Compile Reports: Document experimental results and prepare technical reports, graphs, and charts to communicate findings.
Assist in Research: Collaborate with chemists and colleagues to develop new products and improve existing processes.
Required Qualifications
Education: requires a degree or qualification in chemical technology or a related field.
Laboratory Experience: Hands-on experience in a laboratory setting is preferred, proven track record.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in laboratory techniques and equipment, as well as knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
Skills and Competencies
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and interpret results accurately.
Attention to Detail: Precision in conducting experiments and documenting results is crucial.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot equipment and processes effectively.
Teamwork: Collaborate with other technicians and colleagues in a team-oriented environment.
